Roslyn Pond Park

The Greater Roslyn Area is easily accessible to major highways including the Northern State Parkway and the Long Island Expressway. Rail commuters have ample free parking space at the Roslyn Long Island Railroad Station (LIRR), just a few blocks from The Roslyn Synagogue.
Recreation and Activities:
Roslyn is a 30 minute drive to midtown Manhattan and to several beautiful South Shore Atlantic beaches. Fifteen minutes away are two Long Island Sound beaches, and North Hempstead Beach Park. Boating is also popular and convenient. Near the Roslyn Synagogue are two parks: Christopher Morley Park and Roslyn Pond Park. Christopher Morley Park contains a large modern playground, swimming pool, an outdoor ice-skating rink, cross-country ski trails and a nine hole golf course. The Roslyn Pond Park, featuring a large playground, ponds, gazebo and the Roslyn Bryant Library, is walking distance from the synagogue.
Also within Roslyn is the Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center providing world class weight-training and cardio facilities as well as many educational and recreational activities.
Roslyn is near many recreational activities including arboretums, preserves, and parks as well as museums, concert halls, and theaters including the Nassau County Art Museum, Clark Botanic Garden, and the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. In addition, the Greenbelt trails on Long Island provide over 200 miles of hiking trails.
Shopping and Services:
Convenient kosher eateries include a steakhouse and a kosher supermarket. The neighborhood also is served by a Judaica store. There are several local supermarkets conveniently located nearby. We are also near major shopping malls including the Americana Manhasset Mall, Roosevelt Field Mall and The Source Mall.
